Personality
---Traits: Quiet, cold, calculating. Skye is not one to make friends easily, usually treating people as teammates at best. He also is very brooding about his past, something he never talks about. Before joining the Outcasts, his huge history is kept only to himself, adding to the mystery of his presence. Skye is also well known for appearing almost out of nowhere, blending in to be unnoticed unless he needs to be. He does have a soft spot for his wife and children, but for the most part the air is thick with enigma around the man. In leadership, Skye has an ice-cold methodology; whatever it takes to complete a mission is the lengths he will go. This has led to his being critically injured in almost every tough mission and even dying, twice. When not doing his job, Skye is either with his wife and kids in a very private time where he won’t accept any disturbances, or he is training.
---Likes: Little is known about his likes. Obviously, he cares for his family, but Skye never seems to have any hobbies or activities besides work and his family. He always is working out and training to keep his skills up, but no one can tell if he likes it or not. Skye always seems to be brooding and unapproachable, so that what he appreciates is known only to him.
---Dislikes: Does not tolerate failure of any kind, especially in himself. Whenever a mission goes wrong, Skye makes it his personal responsibility, even if it clearly is extraneous circumstances. Also dislikes those who try to pry past his mental defenses. He is very private and hates letting people close. Even his beloved wife knows very little about Skye beyond what she has seen.
---Habits: Tends to keep to himself or with his family. Usually walks with his arms out of the jacket sleeves, folding them in front of his body, as if hugging himself. Skye tends not to look directly into people’s eyes, preferring a more shadowy approach to talking to people. Of course, this doesn’t apply to his superior or his wife. Skye always seems to be lost in thought, as if his mind runs at a million mile a minute all the time. Then it will switch instantly and he will be entirely dedicated and focused on the task at hand, usually an opponent. It’s almost as if Skye has two personalities, the main one, and then another, but it’s well-hidden.

Appearance
---Skin Color: Caucasian
---Hair Color: Grayish-White, darker at the roots. The hair is in long spikes going down his back to the shoulder blades. This occurs naturally for an unexplained reason, they are not dreadlocks.
---Eye Color: Rich Blue, almost a violet color. However, have been known to fade to a pale yellow in certain situations.
---Clothing: Dark Khaki pants, usually cargo pockets sewn on as well. Dark gray/black undershirt with Preventer logo on left chest area. Long brown overcoat, two-toned. Tan main color, darker brown reinforcement leather on shoulders. Preventer patch on right shoulder, Outcasts logo on left. Large “Zero” symbol stitched into back of jacket. Long red bandanna that falls to small of back. Large combat boots. Gauntlets made of leather and chordite-laced metals, infused with energon crystals. Gauntlets have fingerless gloves attached to them. Webbed belt with straps around thighs to hold guns and other equipment.
---Other Attributes/Details: Dark scar running vertically on left cheek from ear to chin. Acquired from a poisoned blade from an evil, deceptive man. For many years, it would restart and stop bleeding, never really healing. He has many scars and marks on his body, but the one on the cheek is much darker than normal, standing out and being very prominent to his features.

Weapons:
The Energon Sword – Destroyed. The energon sword was a massive blade, 5 feet long from hilt to tip. The widest point, at the hilt, was one foot wide, and a foot long hilt. The hilt was dark blue, with large smoothed energon crystals on either side of the handguard. A massive smooth energon rod formed the core of the blade, this glowed much like a lightsaber blade. The metal of the blade did have the capability to split into two blades, spreading out to expose the energon core. This made the blade more powerful but even harder to wield. The Energon Sword was destroyed during a mission with the Outcasts, where Skye used the sword to block a massive energy shot to prevent two large armies from going to war. The shot overloaded the sword’s abilities and melted the blade, shattering the energon core. This incident also caused the second death of Skye.
Custom Defender Mk II Handguns - Active. Developed by Primean Military R&D. The handguns use a special custom built ammo system. Generic ammo cartridges slot into the handgrip, and in the gun a matter/energy conversion system configures the ammo into whatever is needed. Different ammunition requires more or less generic ammo. For example, a standard shot takes one unit of ammo. A larger shot, such as missiles, requires several generic ammo pieces in conglomerate. Several ammo types are normal, rapid fire, charge shot, electric stun shot, ion blaster, flamethrower, cryoban shot, missiles, explosive grenades, glop grenades, flash-bang grenades, and others. Skye usually carries two of these guns. Preventers are issued a lesser Mk I version.
Samurai swords – Destroyed. After the Energon sword was destroyed, Skye smelted two swords to replace it, a katana and a wakizashi. They were energon-laced high tension steel, able to block lightsabers. After an incident regarding Outcast allies, Skye destroyed the swords to protect others from himself.
Energon Lightsaber – Active. Custom-built lightsaber using an Energon crystal to generate the blade. The hilt is styled as a metallic samurai sword, with criss-crossing grips over a dark black core. The blade has two separate settings, depending on which fighting style Skye decides to use. The main style is a standard lightsaber blade, dark blue instead of the lighter blue used by Jedi. Skye can switch the crystal around though and change the blade harmonics, resulting in a blade about half the length and pure white. This is used for super-close combat and/or espionage operations. When in “short” mode, the lightsaber activates a sound dampener, eliminating the classic lightsaber hum. Finally, the lightsaber has direct access to the energon crystal, opening slots on the hilt to expose the gem. Skye has never used this before, but it will be useful.

Skye fights in several styles.

Spirit:
Spirit is a strange concept. Much like the Force, Spirit allows Skye to have superhuman capabilities. Unlike the Force, Spirit is much different. The Force is a connection with midi-chlorians, Spirit is a connection with the unseen fabric of the universe itself. Everything, living or non-living, has some Spirit Energy within it. Through this, Skye is not really manipulating objects, or people, but the Spirit in general. On his homeworld of Primea, everyone can recognize the Spirit and most have some control over it. Spirit, according to Primean culture beliefs, was generated when an ancient race of people known as the Ancients created their world. Energon, the strongest elemental of Spirit, forms the core of the planet; those who possess energon crystals are usually more able to touch the Spirit. Also, there is a great legend of the Primean world that speaks of the Children of Spirit. During the chaos of a dark time in history, several warriors chosen by the Ancients defended the people and helped bring order to the world, then disappeared. The legend goes that there would be another who would come and save the world one more time in the darkest hour of the world. Naturally, Skye is that legendary hero. Spirit is much more basic than the Force, leaving Skye with abilities that rival and surpass most Jedi.

Biography

Born to Dr. and Marie Lightrider. Twin brother Vapor was born first, but disappeared and was recorded as dying immediately after birth.
14 years old – joined with the military and began training as an officer
16 years old – lost father to Obsidian Empire during a mysterious attack on his hometown.
18 years – graduated from the military academy and left home on a mission against the Obsidian Empire
21 years – first death after the mission that consumed most of his life. Succeeded by his four companions who band together to form the first Preventers, an elite group designed to suppress evil outbreaks before they become real problems. Skye spends two centuries in limbo.
~222 years – return to the world, 2nd life. Skye is found by the government and re-enlisted as the leader of the Preventers, code named Zero. Activites within the Preventer unit of Primea is classified, but it is known that Skye grows disgruntled with his new role.
224 years – travel from Alpha Prime to the GFFA after abandoning the Preventers and running as a fugitive. Is chased by the Primean government who doesn’t want to lose their invested interest in Skye. Finds and joins the Jedi Outcasts, accepting a rank of lieutenant but working more solo, offering his ship and services as a freelance operative.
228 years – Marries Aranel Earwen Ancalime of Melmeolalaith, despite strong objections from the xenophobic Melmeolalaithian society. Soon after accepts a promotion in the Outcasts and the formation of a new Preventers team, based on his experience back home. Outcast Preventers are called on mission when military power needs to be denied. Does the jobs the local governments or the Outcasts won’t or can’t.
230 years – During a tough mission to prevent war on a planet, Skye’s ship the Nightstrike is lost between the two enemy camps. Before Outcast support can come to the rescue, Skye and the Preventers get caught in the war, which soon ends when Skye uses all his energy to prevent a sniper’s attempt to kill one of the army’s leaders. This act destroyed the Energon Sword and overloaded his armor systems, killing him. However, Skye’s spirit refused this, and with the help of his wife and unborn children, was reunited with his body. 2nd death and rebirth. Birth of Menelluin and Ellerina Lightrider, twin children of Skye and Earwen.
231-232 years – Ancients decide to abandon Skye, no longer supporting him. They do this when Skye refuses to leave his wife and kids to return to being the legendary Spirit Warrior. Skye’s Spirit energy wanes dramatically, nearly killing him permanently. Eventually gets a recharge with a piece of Core Energon, nearly dying in the process. Also learned the final attack of his grandfather’s old style of combat and the Sword of Souls. However, Skye’s soul is in turmoil, and the sword refuses to bond with the man. Instead, Skye uses his wife’s Jedi background to construct an energon-based lightsaber. Skye and Earwen send their kids away to Melmeolalaith before the Outcasts go into battle with the Yuuzhan Vong over Coruscant. The battle ends terribly; despite the Outcasts winning their Mon Cal cruiser was lost in battle. Outcasts move into an abandoned military base on Coruscant and Skye takes his family on a much-deserved vacation, where…
